13. DESCRIPTION:
Those few scholars brave enough to have studied these elusive killers have had their work cut out for them (and their hearts if they're not too careful) because, there is only one thing that these sadistic things like more than setting agonising traps to catch unwary adventurers, and that's watching them die.
They are very tall, at least seven foot, green-brown colour, of large build and covered from head to foot in vicious spikes. It also supports some of the longest claws on record, ideal for scooping out fish from rivers (and the heads off opponents if their less than wary).
Talking of fish, which leads us to a rather strange fact about these creatures: their total love of the art of fishing! It's true, they are almost always found near a constant supply of succulent fish (it is unknown what they use as bait, but certain things spring to mind)...
We hope the Out of the Pit will become an enjoyable read and you are welcome to voluntarily contribute, advise or correct entry continuity, spelling, grammar or link errors if any are discovered.
