This is without doubt the best fighting fantasy book. steve and Ian's writing combined is an enthralling read. It is also very difficult 2 complete as you have to find three combinations for the treasure at the end. Also there is a maze near the end which takes quite a while to get through. The atmosphere in the book is undoubtedly the best yet.
Its like two adventures in one really. How to get to firetop mountain and when you are in there actually defeating the warlock and getting at the treasure. Just as YOu defeat the warlock and get at the treasure it can be very disheartening to find out that you haven't got all three combinations but this just adds to the storyline as then you know you have to look for them.
Definitely my favourite book so I will give this 10/10
